The Bible never even bothers to defend God's existence. It simply assumes it. There are very powerful arguments that God exists, but this is a song about a homesick man simply looking up and crying out, "Please remember me..."
Long Road
There must be a God
Greater than this universe that lights the dark
Wilder than the passions of human hearts
And I'm just a tiny spark
There must be a dream
Deeper than the dreams that I have ever dreamed
Ears have never heard and eyes have never seen
But I've held the ache in the mystery
There must be a dream
This is a long road
Such a long way home
And I don't know
How far I've left to go
So in Your mercy
Please remember me
On this long road
There must be a place
With open arms to welcome all the prodigal sons
Room enough at the table for everyone
When everything's said and done
There must be a place
